| Giving Back to the Children in our Community
The Boys & Girls Club of New Britain
There are many ways to support our Boys & Girls Club of New Britain:
- It Just Takes One annual appeal is our annual giving program that sustains our operations and allows for our entire community to join us as philanthropic partners, making a difference in the lives of New Britain's children and teens. This campaign is kicked off every April and is a grassroots effort to bring our entire community of dedicated stakeholders into the fold, helping us help our kids.
- Annual Chuck Roby~Boys & Girls Club of New Britain Golf Tournament, our yearly tournament brings together the area's avid golfers as we raise funds for critical youth-based programs at the Club. This year's golf tournament date is July 9, 2010. Please email or call the Club at 860.229.2865 is you wish to be placed on the annual golf tournament's mailing list.
- Next Best Place to Home! Capital Campaign is our $3 million capital renovation and endowment campaign. Our capital campaign brings to light our long history of excellence, with a focus on creating a sustainable facility that will provide a safe, nurturing, and pleasant environment for the more than 2,500 kids who regularly use our Club. So far, our capital campaign has raised more than $1.2 million toward our $3 million goal; and our roof and HVAC project will begin construction in the spring of 2010. A capital campaign prospectus and gift commitment form are available from the Club.
- The Boys & Girls Club of New Britain Endowment Fund offers the opportunity for benefactors to perpetuate the benefits of a meaningful, lifetime gift where the original gift stays intact and the interest income is used to provide services to youth for generations to come.
- The Building Fund is the legacy for the future, helping the Club maintain its facilities and make periodic capital improvements as approved by the Board of Directors. This fund has the option of spending both income or principal for approved purposes.
- The Boys & Girls Club Memorial & Honor Gift Program allows members of the community to give a gift in honor of or in memory of a loved one or friend, as a fitting remembrance or tribute. Easy giving opportunities are available at all gift amounts for honoring or paying tribute to your friends, family members, neighbors, and colleagues. A convenient brochure and gift form is available from the Club.
- Special Purpose Gifts can be made in cash or in-kind for property management, equipment, programs, or for future use at the request of the donor. These restricted donations are often used to fund those regular or special projects that must be funded from operational budgets.
Gifts to the Boys & Girls Club of New Britain may be made in the form of cash, stocks and bonds, real property, or in-kind.
